Bad Mary is a GREAT little Independent Punk band out of New York City!!! What is so great about them? They bring back the classic sound of New York punk from the days of CBGB like Blondie and The Ramones.

Bad Mary has been releasing Original Music as Bad Mary since 2012. They are – Bill Mac on Drums who started playing at the age of 4. Dave Henderson on guitar who started playing at the age of 16. Amanda Mac is on vocals and started singing  as a child while doing Musical Theater. Finally there is Mike Staub who does bass and vocals. Mike started with the trumpet in his youth while playing guitar as well. In 2007 he joined that band that would become Bad Mary in 2007.

They have all played in a multitude of bands and after years of perfecting their art came together hitting their stride and deciding on releasing music with their classic New York PUNK sound  in 2012. Bill did voiceovers and been a radio host. David is a professor of theater at Hofstra University.  Amanda still does Musical Theater and mike has been playing in bands since the age of 12.

Their only long term goals are to stay together and keep performing for larger and larger audiences and they would love to play in Japan and Europe. Their music is inspired by what is going on in the world around them, particularly the new trend toward the heightened use of robots in the manufacturing industry and Ninjas who fight against Social Injustice. Their band also supports The ACLU.

Places they have played include: Warped Tour – Jones Beach – Long Island, NY - Liberty Music Festival – Philadelphia, PA - Dewey Beach Music Conference – Dewey Beach, DE.- Arlene’s Grocery – NYC - The Trash Bar - - Brooklyn - The Highline Ballroom – NYC - Revolution – Amityville, NY - Bowery Electric – NYC

The Knitting Factory – NYC and many more

Upcoming shows scheduled are - July 8th on Long Island at Revolution in Amityville;  August 9th at MusikFest in Bethlehem, PA.; August 18 at Liberty Music Festival in  Philadelphia, PA. They are also working on a new ER that plan to call, “Glitter Bomb” that will be release later this summer.

What they want from their fans is FUN, FUN, FUN. They want to help you forget how tied up in the world we can all get and feel free to just LET GO. Bad Mary is definitely on my must see list. If you like Classic New York Punk they should also be on your’s.
